Kruger National Park: Gezantombi Waterhole

Gezantombi Waterhole is a popular spot in Kruger National Park for wildlife sightings, especially for the great herds of wildebeest that come to drink and cool off. As the sun beats down on the open grasslands, the wildebeest make their way in groups towards the waterhole, their distinctive grunts and snorts filling the air. The waterhole is a great place to watch the spectacle of these ungulates as they drink, play and interact with each other. With luck, visitors may also see predators lurking nearby, such as lions or hyenas, waiting to take advantage of any weaknesses in the herd. The Gezantombi Waterhole is a reminder of the delicate balance of life in the park, and the incredible diversity of wildlife that makes Kruger such a special place.
